We create a secure and supportive atmosphere where your child will excel in their learning.
Children gain confidence and motivation by participating in exciting activities that stimulate their creativity.
We are open 48 weeks a year and offer flexible morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions.
At Little Gems Nursery, we work hard to ensure that all people working with children are suitable to do so. We are extremely vigilant when recruiting new staff to join our team.
Our staff are a mixture of both young and old! This is to help bring a fine balance of both valuable experience and youthful energy which is needed to cover all areas of this vibrant learning environment.
We are committed to providing the best possible education & care to our children, and to safeguard and promote the welfare of babies and young children.
ALL of our staff are DBS checked and are registered on the Enhanced DBS update service.
We want your child to feel happy and safe with us. To make sure that this is the case, our staff will work with you to decide on how to help your child to settle into the setting. Our policy on the Role of the Key Person and Settling-in can be found here
We hope that you and your child enjoy being members of our setting and that you both find taking part in our activities interesting and stimulating. Our always ready and willing to talk with you about your ideas, views or questions.
We make snacks and encourage parents to bring a packed lunch. Meals are a social time at which children and adults eat together. We plan the menus for snacks so that they provide the children with healthy and nutritious food. Please tell us about your child's dietary needs and we will plan accordingly.
We empower children to ask questions, celebrate similarities and differences, and share things that make them special. we encourage children to be proud of who they are. Everyone benefits from being a member of a rich and diverse early years family. Put simply, the greater the mix of people, the greater the mix of skills, experiences, perspectives and ideas we can draw on.
We have created a highly inclusive environment where all children are welcome and accepted, respected, and valued. We focus on the present moment and allow children to play and learn at a pace that is supportive of them as individuals. We differentiate our environment and activities to ensure all children have a 'sense of belonging'.
When we talk and listen to a child, we help them to have a voice. Having a voice that is heard is the most powerful safeguarding tool a child can have. If you have any concerns about keeping children safe or any questions about our safeguarding policy and procedures, come and see a member of our safeguarding team. Having freedom to make choices also means the child has the freedom to say ‘No!’ or ‘Stop! I don’t like it!’ At Little Gems Nursery, we want all of our children to be confident enough to speak out and stay safe.
